guidance of its MD, Dr US Awasthi, IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative
Limited) has always been a major player in working towards the betterment of Indian
farmers. According to Dr US Awasthi, IFFCO is more than a company; it is a
cooperative for the farmers of India, even in the most far flung areas.
The
company receives continuous demands from the farmers all over the country
regarding supplying them with weedicides, fungicides, and insecticides of good
quality, apart from the quality fertilizers that is the specialty of IFFCO. Under
Dr US Awasthi, IFFCO has managed to answer a lot of this demand via cooperative
societies. This also includes the latest formation of the IFFCO-MC Crop Science
Private Limited.
Strengthening the “Make in India Campaign”

Science Private Limited is a joint venture formed between the global player in
agrochemicals business, Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan, and the largest producer
and marketer of fertilizers in India, IFFCO. Dr US Awasthi is of the opinion
that this company will be able to work wonders in strengthening the “Make in
India” campaign that was launched by our Honourable Prime Minister, Shri
Narendra Modi. Dr US Awasthi, IFFCO, also mentioned that IFFCO will hold 51%
stake in IFFCO-MC Crop Science Private Limited, while the rest will be help by
Mitsubishi.

Science Private Limited will manufacture and make available in India good
quality agrochemicals. Launched officially at the IFFCO head office in New
Delhi, the company is all set to begin operations.

Managing Director and CEO, IFFCO, has expressed his excitement and happiness over
the new development, which he said was another step towards IFFCO fulfilling
its commitments to the farming community and to the agriculture sector as a
whole.
With this foray into the manufacturing of agrochemicals, IFFCO plans to
enlarge its services, making the best efforts to bring the farming community of
India towards a new dawn of development and innovation.
